On Wednesday, June 8, participants will have an opportunity to experience the splendor of Idaho with a number of social opportunities. See the offerings below, and click to make your reservations! We are proud to be partnering with TMN Events for coordination of these activities. Their staff will be on site on Wednesday, June 8th to coordinate details.

Wheels and Wine Bike Tour – click here to make your reservations!Bike trail

Start Time: 1:30 PM | End Time: 4:30 PM | Price: $75.00
The Wheels and Wine Tour is a casual, easy ride around Sun Valley on comfort bikes. It takes you to most activities that are available in the Resort as well as a stop at the Hemingway Memorial. The tour takes approximately 2 hours and is concluded with the perfect ending – a hosted wine tasting! (Must be 21 years of age for wine tasting).

Cost: $75 pp, includes bike rental, guide, hors d’ oeuvres, and wine tasting

Time Frame: 1:30 – 4:30pm. (8 person minimum)

Equipment List for Biking:
Participants will need to bring the following items:
• Hiking boots or tennis shoes
• Layered clothing and long pants
• Day pack (like a Tahoma 30)
• Rain jacket (like a BC-200)
• Water bottle/hydration system (minimum 1 liter)
• Sun hat, sunglasses, sunscreen
• Camera!

Sport shooting brings skill, focus and the pleasure of a well-placed shot together. The Gun Club features Beretta shotguns with light target load ammo to minimize recoil. Each shooter is briefed on proper gun safety procedures, and beginners are always welcome. Many a great trap shooter is discovered at the Sun Valley Gun Club. This is a fun activity for everyone. Your experienced guides take all the mystery out of the trap shooting for a truly memorable time. And, the setting is spectacular.

Cost: $100 pp – includes all guides and instruction, gratuities, all equipment rental and ammunition, beverages, and transportation to and from the Gun Club. 10 person minimum

Start Time: 1:00 PM | End Time: 5:00 PM | Price: $100.00
Casual: Aspen Loop (2 hours) Only a 5-minute drive away, this beautiful 2-mile hike takes us from the historic Trail Creek Cabin through lush aspen groves for an unparalleled view of the Sun Valley Resort. This hike does involve a moderately steep trail, and participants will be rewarded with fantastic views of the valley, surrounding peaks, and historic ski lifts.

Moderate: Bald Mountain Trail to Roundhouse Restaurant (3-4 hours) We’ll hike the Bald Mountain Trial from River Run Base area up to the famous Roundhouse Restaurant. This hike rewards the hikers with spectacular views of the mountains surrounding Sun Valley. This hike offers a great climb of 2,100ft over 4 miles and after our refreshment at the Roundhouse, we ride the gondola back down.

Moderate: Titus Lake (4 hours) A beautiful drive up to Galena Summit takes us to the trailhead with lofty views of the upper valley and surrounding peaks. A 4-mile hike with moderately challenging elevation gain and loss will take us to a serene alpine lake tucked into a cirque high in the Smokey Mountains.

Moderate: Chocolate Gulch (3 Hours) A 10 minute drive north through the spectacular upper Wood River Valley brings us to Chocolate Gulch. This hike winds up through ancient aspen groves and into a shaded pine forest. Upon summiting you will descend into open wildflower meadows and be rewarded by stunning views of the Smoky and Boulder Mountains (4 miles round trip).
Cost: $100 pp, includes transportation, guide, guide gratuity, water and snacks

Time Frame: Depart at 1:00pm, return to Lodge no later than 5:00 pm

Equipment List: We’ll provide lunch and snacks and all technical gear for climbing. Participants (for both hiking and climbing) will need to bring the following items:
• Hiking boots or sturdy tennis shoes (depending on level of hike)
• Shorts or pants
• Day pack (like a Tahoma 30)
• Rain jacket (like a BC-200)
• Fleece jacket
• Water bottle/hydration system (minimum 1 liter)
• Sun hat, sunglasses, sunscreen
• Camera!

Experience the rapids, history, and wildlife found on Idaho’s Salmon River. The Salmon River has been designated a National Wild & Scenic River receiving special protection for its unspoiled wilderness, diverse wildlife and crystal clear waters.

This Class II/III trip is great for all ages and abilities. Your guides are the best in the business, and ensure your day is safe, fun and full of entertainment. We can accommodate a variety of comfort levels by offering different boat options. You can choose between a paddle boat, oar boat, or inflatable kayak.

RaftingThe Salmon River carves a beautiful canyon through the Idaho landscape where you might find Osprey, Deer, Beaver, and otters. This designated Wild & Scenic river plunders between mammoth Granite boulders creating family fun whitewater and crystal clear swimming holes. Your travels to Stanley from Sun Valley is one of America’s most scenic and spectacular drives.

Please dress in non-cotton clothing if possible. Remember the sunglasses and sunscreen. Wear river sandals or secure footwear.

Cost: $125 pp – includes round trip transportation to River from Sun Valley Lodge, all rafts, white water materials as needed, guides and guide gratuities, and box lunch on way to river.

Time Frame: Depart at noon, return by 6:00pm


Cooking Class with YPC (Your Personal Chef) – click here to make your reservations!Cooking

Start Time: 1:00 PM | End Time: 3:30 PM | Price: $90.00
Enjoy learning the art of fine cooking in this private class with Chef Russell Lintner in a Sun Valley private home. Here you will have the opportunity to learn the culinary arts in a relaxed atmosphere from a chef with over 25 years of varied experience. Russell focuses on all aspects of cooking and will share his favorite recipes and culinary tips with you. Classes include food and beverage tasting, including Chef Russell’s choice of wine. The class will be followed by an hors d’ oeuvre and wine reception.

Class Cost: $90 per person. Includes Chef and instructions, all food and wine.

Time Frame: 1:00 pm-3:30pm on Sun Valley Property (5 person minimum)
